Our Spiritual Inspiration

Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj

Our work flows from the ideal he set before every sannyasin: “to shed every drop of your blood for dispelling the great gloom of this country” — a life of self-development, dignity, and tireless service to the distressed.

Nothing on this page is a metaphor. That ideal is answered every day at Narendrapur, in five programmes of direct care.

How Your Seva Serves

Pronabananda Sevashram runs 5 programmes of direct care. Each is a place where a contribution becomes shelter, a meal, a lesson, or treatment for someone who has nowhere else to turn.

Not sure where to give?

A gift to the general fund goes where the need is greatest that week, directed by the people closest to the work.

Giving, Plainly

How your gift reaches the work

Three steps, and a person at the ashram in the middle of them.

  1. Step 01

    Choose where it goes

Any of the five programmes, or the general fund where the need is greatest that week. The amount is yours to decide — we publish no suggested tiers.

5 programmes, plus the general fund
  2. Step 02

    Pay by UPI

Scan the QR code or use our UPI ID in your own app, then tell us the reference your app gives you. Nothing is charged through this website.

  3. Step 03

    A person confirms it

Somebody here matches your reference against our bank statement by hand, and your acknowledgement appears on your own private page. Usually a day or two.

Checked by hand, so no gift is confirmed until somebody has seen it arrive

Transparency & Impact

Where your gift goes.

Every donation to Pronabananda Sevashram funds the daily work of this ashram — a home for the elderly, a free school, care for children with special needs, a charitable clinic, and shelter for women in distress. We give freely, we account openly, and we ask only in service of those who cannot ask for themselves.
