Bharat Sevashram Sangha
Founded in 1917.
Founded in 1917 by Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj, the Bharat Sevashram Sangha is a monastic order devoted to service. Pronabananda Sevashram takes its name and its spiritual inspiration from the Sangha’s founder, and Swami Aparananda was formed in its monastic tradition.
The two are separate institutions. Pronabananda Sevashram at Narendrapur is led by Swami Aparananda and stands in the Sangha’s tradition rather than forming part of its organisation.

Each carries its own address and telephone number, and a donation made through this website reaches Pronabananda Sevashram’s own account and funds its own five programmes. Pronabananda Sevashram runs five programmes of direct care of its own: a home for the elderly, free primary education, care for children with special needs, a charitable clinic, and shelter for women in distress.
